Dumping and Selecting Footage

As we approach the completion of our film's opening, attention is directed towards the vital phase of post-production, specifically the tasks of reviewing and selecting footage.

With a total of four scenes, we have chosen to edit each scene immediately after its filming, rather than postponing until all scenes are completed. This approach not only conserves time but also fosters a more concentrated and iterative editing experience.

Upon receiving the footage for each scene, our  first action is to conduct a thorough review of all captured shots. This detailed examination allows me to evaluate the quality and significance of each clip, taking into account aspects such as composition, performance, and continuity.

To effectively manage the excess footage generated during filming, we utilize a systematic strategy to select the most impactful shots. By leveraging visual cues and notes made during the filming process, we were able to identify and compile the shots that most effectively contribute to the narrative and visual appeal of the scene.
